When grandchildren arrive
We always think what fun
Life with them will be-
What fun to share with them
Ant every opportunity.
But modern life has folks traveling
And grandkids are scattered
Far and wide across the land
As parents meet military or professional demand.

So very far away but yet cling to the hope
Deep in their hearts
That they will be closer to them someday.
