Some people are so special
That we have to stop and say
Just how great we think they are
When it's their birthday!
Some people give to others
So much of themselves each day
That we have to search our hearts
For something special enough to say
I wish I could find a word to write
To adequately our wishes express
But I guess I will have to say
Happy Birthday dear friend
