Poems for Baby Banks

Baby Bank

Teach Me
Teach me about the value
Of saving a coin each day
When I find it in the yard
While I am out at play.
Show me how to save my findings
As I travel the floor by knee
Picking up the coins on the rug
That my baby eyes can see.
Watch me as I find coins in the grass
That folks drop as they walk each day
And what fun to watch my collection grow
With homeless coins that come my way.

My Bank
Pennies, nickels and dimes
If I put them in this bank-they're mine.
If I find a penny on the floor
It isn't homeless any more
I put it in this little pig
And soon the amount may get so big!
THena

If I find a penny
I will not toss it away
But will put it in this little bank
To save for a rainy day.
Found money on the sidewalk
Or even in the yard-
I will save it when I find it
For to spot it isn't very hard.
Thena
If you find a penny
Put it in this little bank
As you go back to play
For soon the pennies will add up
And be there for a rainy day.
If you find a nickel,
I hope it gives you a smile
For nickels become dollars
In just a little while.
I hope this brings you fun
As you watch your fortune add up each day
And may angels sprinkle pennies on the sidewalk
As you go about your way.
Thena
Fortune Found
For pennies found upon the ground
When going for a walk each day
For dimes and nickels that appear
When you are out at play.
For quarters under cushions
Whose sparkle catches your eye
And end up in this little bank
They will add up by and by.
Put them in this little bank
And leave it on a shelf
For soon its value will mount up so much
That you will surprise yourself!
Thena

Poems for today

I will try to send your way
A little poem for today
To give you a little gift
Something to give your heart a lift.
