World’s Greatest Scrapper

You may not see her layouts
In any of the magazines
Although she scraps her babies and teens
And some kids in between.

She takes photos daily
And is the best recorder of life by far
With some of her best action shots
Taken from her moving car.

She rarely has time for photo shoots
But she snaps each special event
To record her family’s history
She lists as her main intent.

Her days are filled with carpools
Driving kids here and there
She is a dedicated mother
And takes her camera everywhere.

Her photos are a reflection
Of her life each day
And on her pages she records
Her memories in a positive way.

She doesn’t scrap for editors
Or for products to display
She scraps life as it is
She scraps the everyday.

But when she brings her albums out
A hush over the room will fall
For everyone in the family
Loves Mom’s albums best of all!

OH No, Not the Pox

Oh no! Tell me it's not
The horrible and dreaded
CHICKEN POX!
I've heard more than
I want to know
Now that I'm covered
Head to toe
With spots of red
And itchy stuff
I think already
I've had enough!

But wait! Who is that
At my door
Bringing me my favorite food
Perhaps they will continue this
Even after I'm feeling good?
Maybe if I sigh a bit
And act as if I'm in distress
They'll let me watch on tv
The shows I like the best...
And maybe once I'm well again
They will be so very glad
That they will think
I'm the perfect child
Never doing anything bad!

How Wonderful to know
And experience the love

Though He may seem far away
And we say He's in the sky
I know I feel His presence
And sense that He's close by.

For I know that when I need Him
He has so faithfully been there

That He's just as close as prayer.

The Time Will Come

The time will come
When I am gone
But what memories of my life
Will linger on?
Will my love for you
Have been evident
By the time that together, we spent?
And will you have understood
My hopes and dreams
As I hoped you would?
Did you know that my heart was sincere
And I didn’t say things just to tickle your ear
But things from my heart and soul I shared
To let you know how much I cared?
Will you miss me enough to say
As you go about your day
That I made a bit of difference in your heart
At least a tiny little part
And caused you to hold life a little tighter
Or made your burden a littler lighter?
If this is true my dearest friends
Then my life never really ends
But parts of it will linger on each day
As you go along the way
With a smile that wafts ever so fleetingly
As you remember the friend you had in me.
