I hear all the comments
About the lumpy scrapbook page
I know that creating dimension
Is the latest scrapbooking rage.
I create dimension without adding charms or tags
Or the usual bulky items that create scrapbooking lumps
I do it without the purchased or ready made items
That give scrapbook pages bumps.
My pages are three dimensional
And they have been from the start
For on each and every page I make
I have placed part of my heart.

When Grandma was young
When Grandma was young
When Grandma was young
Things were much better then
Grandpa was a handsome guy
And Grandma was nice and thin.
When she was a baby
She never fretted as babies do
All her parents heard from her
Was a delightful gurgle and coo.
Children obeyed their parents
And never made a speck of dust
And never pinched or pulled a sibling's hair
And never fought or fussed.
When Grandma was a teenager
Teens obeyed all the rules
And never got in trouble
Nor did parents get calls from schools.
Grandma was a young woman
She was stylishly well covered
With nary a sight of tummy button
And didn't mind being "mothered".
Grandma was such a wonderful example
Of all that a young woman should be
At least I think she must have been-
For that is what she expects of me!

I love to hear stories
About when Grandma was young
And love to hear what she did
When she was young like me
...My grandma as a kid!
I love to see photos in the album
That Grandma keeps at her house
And while she shows me the photos
I sit quietly as a mouse.
I think it is such fun to think back
To how my Grandma must have been
When she was a little girl like me
And imagine what it was like back then!~

What was the world like
When you were a kid?
Tell me what you thought
And about the things you did...
Tell me about the trees you climbed..
And did you scrape your knees?
Did you always remember to say
Thank and to ask with Please?
Did you have friends to play with
And when you began to date
Did you ever get into trouble
By coming home a wee bit late?
Tell me some fun stories
And let's put them in this book
Along with favorite snapshots
So the grandkids can all look.
We want them to see what you were like
And want our loved ones to view
The fun, creatively, love and laughter
That is absolutely, and unqiuely YOU!

When a Child Has Gone With Another Parent
Remember...
Remember always that I love you
Remember always that I care
Remember that I will be thinking of you
And rememembering you in prayer.
Remember the celebrations
And the illnesses I nursed you though
Remember all the games we played
And the things I taught you to do.
Remember the times we had together
And how much we love each other
And that no matter what the future holds
In both our hearts I am your mother.
And each night go to the window
And look at the sky above you
And know that looking at that same sky
Is someone who will forever love you.

I Wish
I wish I could take away the hurt
That must be in your heart
I know that you can't understand
Just why we have to part.
I wish that I could spare you
From the things you are going through
But all I can do is to reasure you
That I will always love you.
You will be in my heart forever
And I know that I'm in your heart too
And I pray sweet memories will cheer you
When you are sad or blue.
For a mommy's love never changes
And is not tossed about by the wind
For once that love is formed inside
It is a love that will never end.
Know that each breath I take
Will be a little prayer
That God would station angels around you
And keep you forever in His care.
