Sunshine and Rain

People love sunshine

But fear the pain

That they feel in their hearts

Comes with the rain.

Sunshine brings lightness

To soul and heart

And storm clouds remind us

Of things torn apart.

But how would we know

How good it could be

To dance in the sunlight

If no storms we could see.

In both I have found joy

In both I have had pain

I have cried In the sunshine

And I have danced in the rain...
